Johnny began to write ballads and poems. The Ballad of a Pilgrim is a product of these special times and because it’s so close to his heart, he wanted to share it with others.

This story illustrates God’s refining work in our lives through the image of a silversmith. Just as silver must be watched carefully to remove impurities without being destroyed, God lovingly oversees our trials.

Scripture reveals a long-hidden mystery: through Christ, God’s nature can be formed within us. Being born of the Spirit transforms our nature, enabling us to become one with the Father and partake in the divine life He intended.

Scripture contrasts the first Adam, a temporary temple of flesh who birthed the kingdom of man, with the last Adam, Jesus, who is life-giving, filled with God’s Spirit, and sowed the seed of the Spirit in humanity.

Scripture shows we may not know the day or hour of Jesus’s return, but we can know the season. Jesus and Paul taught believers to stay alert, yet sincere Christians still differ on when His coming will occur.
